Day 4

The test pattern was on again today for a little while and the really dumb thing is that we all sat around on the couch staring at it even though nothing had been on it all the other times it had been on. Still nothing came on today but we all sat there for the hour or so it was on just in case. Something that I thought worth mentioning here is this: This guy, Mr. Marduk, raced past our front yard today and we all saw him do it. He was chasing some dude who looked as though he was half undressed. Mr. Marduk was yelling like a total dick but it wasn’t words it was just yelling. The guy he was chasing looked scared shitless. That was hours ago but Marduk hasn’t come home yet and Dad says his front door is wide open. He was gonna shut it but didn’t in case Mr. Marduk didn’t have his keys. I think it’s suss.

Day 3

Today was weird. The televisions all came on today all of a sudden which scared the shit out of us. I guess I can swear in this can’t I? It was what Mum said was a test pattern, just a bunch of patterns on the screen. It was lame as far as I was concerned; why couldn’t they have had someone talking I don’t get it. It looked as though they were trying to show writing on the screen too but it was weird and none of us could read it. It was like squiggles and pictures. I am getting bored and pissed off, and I can tell that my brother Toby is too. We’re fighting a bit, more squabbling to tell the truth, and that in turn is getting a reaction from Mum.

Day 2

Dear Diary,
Can I call you Dear? I wonder if you are dear to me? In fact are you male or female or just a book? Anyway we still have power but everyone is hogging the television and I didn’t have a player hooked up to the set in my bedroom. It’s been really weird today. Not many adults have bothered going into work as there really isn’t much that they can do on their computers with no internet access. There are also a lot of cops driving past. I’ve spent most the day bored and snacking.

Day 1

I guess it’s stupid starting this here and now considering what has happened but let’s face it Mum, until we hear for sure what the hell is going on then it can’t really hurt either can it? It’s been really weird around here and we can’t get on the net and there is nothing on the television either. The dumb thing is that there is still electricity on in the house and I have been chilling out. Amy came over earlier in the day and we watched a DVD. Still no television though, not even cable which sucks because they are meant to be re running that show I missed last night. I cant remember the name of it, but everyone was texting about it until the phones went dead. That’s right, no phones either.
